Advertising Options
We offer three advertising options - Free, Premium and Featured. The aim is to make advertising simple and user friendly, yet very efficient. Each option is available to all advertisers, regardless of selling price or ad category.
Paid listings are online immediately and the basic free listings are reviewed and then put online within 6-12 hours, though we strive to have all listings online in less time than this.
Basic Free Ad: (1 photo. 3 month listing)
Premium Ad: $20 (Highlighted in search results. 5 photos. Live website and Youtube links. 12 month listing )
Featured Ad: $50 ( Featured full time on front page for 30 days. Highlighted in search results. 5 photos. Live website and Youtube links. 12 month lisitng )
Payment Method:
We use Paypal to process payments. With PayPal, you can make payments quickly, easily and more securely.
Your bank, credit card and personal details are never shared and are not stored on the horse and Pony Sales website.
Creating a User Profile:
1. Click Register Now on the home page of the site.
2. Create a user name - spaces are allowed: punctuation is not allowed except for periods,hyphens and underscores. You may use your business name etc.
3. Enter a valid e-mail address. All e-mails from the system will be sent to this address. The e-mail address is not made public and will only be used if you wish to receive a new password or wish to receive certain news or notifications by e-mail.
4. Create a Password - It must be at least 8 letters please. To create a secure password try to include upper and lower case letters or numbers.
5. Copy the image in the Captcha box to verify you are a human.
If you need to have 2 user accounts, perhaps for sperate companies etc., this is fine - remember to log out before creating a new user account though.
Adding an image and some descriptive text to your profile:
An image and some descriptive text can create confidence in buyers. Each ad on Horse and Pony Sales has a link to the sellers profile page, this shows other ads that may be listed also.

1. Log in to your account page
2. Click 'Edit' > This is where you can modify your account details and add an image (image display box dimensions are 160x160 and the maximum size is 100 kB. Minimum dimensions are 100x100).
Adding some text
1. Log in to your account page
2. Click 'Edit' > Profile > Then add text in the 'About' box (up to 300 characters ) Then click the 'Save' button.
Multiple Profiles
Multiple profiles are allowed, if needed. You must be logged out to then create a new profile.

We have 20 Main categories.Some of these contain sub-categories.
Adding Images to an Ad
The minimum dimensions for an image are 230x173 pixels. Maximum dimensions of 768x576 pixels, larger images will be automatically resized.
Can I include my Website address in the content of a Basic Free Ad?
Yes, this is not a problem at all. The link may be added in the content of a free ad, it will not be a live link but viewers can then cut and paste the link if desired.
Editing and Removing Ads
When logged in you can edit / delete your ad from the link in the top right corner of the ad. Please do remove your ad if the horse or item is sold as this keeps the site fresh.

Letting us know about any errors or problems within the site will always be greatly appreciated.
Please try to include as much detail as possible - Where the problem occurred and what you were wanting to do. If possible, copy the link of the error page from your browser window. Let us know what the error text said or what actually happened.
